I know such wonderful people. People who can make me feel like I belong with just a smile. People who I can share everything with, without ever being afraid of what they'll think of me or what they'll say.
I love my friends. My dear, dear, friends. And even when they're not along, even when they travel abroad, I think of them.
When I go through some of the most painful moments in my life, I know they're out there. I know that I can call them, and they'll make me feel better. Just the thought makes it easier to bear.
They say friends are the family that we choose ourselves. I think they're right. They're the world to me. They make me happy even in my darkest hours. Even when loss makes you feel like something has torn your heart out, and you want to cry. I have friends who can make me smile again. I have friends who will hug me, and tell me that everything is going to be all right.
I think I'm the luckiest person in the world in such moments. I love you so much.
