One morning in October, Marik got up very early. He packed a few things into his bag, said good-bye to the cat, and left the house. The night before, his father had told John that he had found a job for him. His father didn't understand that he wanted to be a film star. He took a bus from the centre of town and then he started to walk. Soon he had reached the highway. He stopped opposite a McDonald's, an put out his hand.
He was lucky. The tifth car, a yellow Porsche, slowed down, and stopped. Marik got into the car and they drove away. When he asked the driver where he was going, Marik became aware that he was kidnapped.
A dark shadow came down around the car, which went up in smoke.
"What's going on here?" Marik shouted.
A big man came out of the shadow. The shadowman devoureded one shadowghost after another slowly changing into a Ryou-like figure. Marik remembered he had seen something similar in a movie not long ago.
He was horrified as he saw the glowing eyes.
Ryou came to Marik and covered his face with a hand. Marik was horrified and jumped back as he saw the Duell-Plate. Ryou indicated Marik to raise his arm into the air. Marik did it.
Many shadows came to him and created a second Duell-Plate. Ryou began to laugh and challenged Marik to a duell in his favourite game.
Marik lost his life-points very quickly and fainted. At this moment Marik realised that this was only a shadow game. He felt to the ground and Ryou smiled. Ryou drew a card, activied his "Spell-Monster" to finally defeat Marik.
Suddenly a loud "Cut" penetradted the air.
A person came out of the dense fog applauding. "You two were marvellous! Everything looked so realistic and spontaneaus."
Ryou gave Marik a gri look as if he wanted to say "You were lucky this time but next time we meet ............". Ryou was angry.
The scene had not been worked out as he had wanted it, but the director assured him that it was all fine and the he would use this scene in his new movie.
So a new filmstar was born.
